Uniqueness makes you who you are

I am so tired of trying to fit in. I have spent the most precious time of my life trying to look and be like others. Others whom I idealize the most.

I went from a strict diet to fancy Solon, trying to look like every pretty girl. As they would, I had my nails done, my makeup on, I even bought clothes that did not fit me, in hope of achieving that flowless beauty, beauty that is recognized by this modern society. Self-worth comes from within

However, it did not make me look or feel like others. I rather became a stranger to myself. It is funny because I used to know who I was. In my obsession to blend in, I became just a doll with no soul and fragile, like a house made of cards blown by the wind.

Your uniqueness makes you who you are

Growing up, I was this stubborn and wired kid, I have always felt different from everyone. I remember I was always in short and t-shirts, almost never in dress or skirts. As girls are supposed to wear, I guess

There was nothing flower or glitter or pink on my clothes ever. Nevertheless, that does not make me any less of a woman than the ones on the magazine.

We have created these boxes for everyone to judge and throw according to how we dress or talk or eat. If you do not go in any of these boxes, your uniqueness makes them uncomfortable.

They will stare at you, trying to make you feel insecure about your self. At this moment, hold onto who you are, because you know your truth.
